| Somewhere in a desert in Arizona there lives a rather interesting woman who, after having had a short but successful career on Wall Street, retired at the ripe old age of 39. She bought a 500 acre ranch in Arizona and pursued what had become a somewhat profitable hobby of raising snakes and selling venom. She heard about us through her architect and commissioned us to create 22 latches for her 5500 square foot adobe house and out buildings. Shown above is the approved sample that we built for her. The handle is a serpent, and its tale releases the latch when depressed. The trim framing in the lock was forged with a set of dies made specially at our shop for this project. |
