| An apple farmer in up state New York, seeing the writing on the walls, realize that he would have to find a more lucrative crop to farm or face the loss of his farm in the years to come. His was one of the first farms to be turned into vineyards, and within 10 years became one of the largest wineries in the state. When he built his retirement home, he commissioned us to build a pair of chandeliers for his wine tasting room. His wine cellar is constructed of fieldstone with an arched stone ceiling reaching a height of 9 feet at the peak from which these two chandeliers are hung. A long rough wooden plank table spans beneath the chandeliers. His wine is stored in six vaulted alcoves set into the stonewalls, three on either side of the table. The chandeliers hang 32 inches from the ceiling and are 3 feet in diameter. |
